It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the untimely death of Blaise Daniel Mombourquette on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Blaise was survived by his loving partner, Marjorie MacKeigan; brothers, Dannie (Sadie) and Glen (Barbara); sons, Blaise Jr., Scott, Kent and Paul; stepdaughter, Tracey Gibson; grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua, Amanda, Corey, Brennden, Kristin, Brooklyn and Summer; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and his beautiful Aunt Theresa.
Blaise was predeceased by his parents, Daniel Mombourquette and Mary Carey, Whitney Pier and his brother, James (Eileen) Carey.
We would like to thank EHS and the nurses and doctors for their care of Blaise in his time of need. Especially the nurses at the cancer center. Your care and compassion will always be remembered.
As per Blaise’s request, cremation has taken place. Private family service and interment will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Blaise may be made to Cancer Patient Care Fund, Cape Breton.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

On a personal level, I will miss his company on the golf course, at our sing alongs and at the beach barbecues plus on the bocce court!!
