It is with deep sadness that we regret to announce the passing of Evelyn Florence Fraser, who passed away peacefully on Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Ingonish Beach, NS, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Neil and Rita (Burke) Donovan.
Evelyn was a stay home mom who was devoted to her family.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her husband, Bernie Fraser; four sons, Hughie (Brenda), Ted (Cathy), Bernie (Veronique) and Blaine (Brenda); two daughters, Brenda (Gary) and Evelyn (Gary) as well as several grandchildren. Evelyn will also be remembered by two sisters and one brother.
Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
Visitation for the late Evelyn Fraser will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, Whitney Pier, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 6–9 p.m. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at funeral home, All Faith Chapel on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in St. Alphonsus parish cemetery, Victoria Mines.
Donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Holy Redeemer Building Fund or charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
