It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of John MacDonald on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Edmonton, Alberta.

John is survived by his mother, Carolyn; sons, John Robert (Brandi), Joshua (Brianna), and John Andrew; daughter, Emma (Sabrina); grandchildren, Caiden, Avery, Brianna, Jaxon, Lyla, and siblings, Carmella (Billy), Barbie, and Matthew.

John was predeceased by his father, Winston MacDonald.

John loved cars, stock car racing, music and weightlifting.

Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of John MacDonald will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.

Donations in memory of John may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
