East Bay
With deep sadness we, the family, announce Arnold’s passing (beloved husband, dear father, grandfather, sibling, brother-in-law, uncle and good friend) on Friday, November 15, 2024, in Palliative Care.
Born in Three Rock Cove, NL on September 6, 1941, Arnold was the oldest son of the late Hugh and Millie Hall.
Arnold is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gertrude; daughter, Tracy (Anthony); son, David (Chrissy); beautiful grandchildren, Norah, Isabella, Taylor, and Taryn; as well as brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends, all of whom he was close to over the years (you know who you are).
Arnold was a very gentle, kind person, and everyone loved him. You could always get a good laugh and be entertained by his gift of story telling with a few fibs for good measure.
Arnold loved the outdoors and worked in forestry for his entire life. If not at the woodpile, Arnold could be found playing tarbish (world champ) helping out his friends and neighbors. He loved listening to music (Anything in a Newfie jig and country with George Jones), fishing, darts, cards, beach combing the east bay sandbar and everything with his grandchildren.
The family would like to thank his community, friends and the entire Palliative care team for their support and all the home care workers which allowed Arnold to stay at home longer with his family.
Arnold was dearly loved and will be forever missed. Rest In Peace Papa.
Visitation for the late Arnold Hall will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, Whitney Pier, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024. A celebration of Arnold’s life will be held in the funeral home in the All Faith Chapel on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations in memory of Arnold may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

Art was a beautiful man. With a gental heart and a smile that would brighten any room he will be missed by whom ever got the privilege to meet this kind soul. I’m so sorry to all his family and friends who are hurting at this time. I will never forget his smile and kindness. RIP dear Art.
Our family is heartbroken. We have lost a great man, a loving father, a kindhearted friend and the best Uncle ever.
He meant the world to me, my spouse and children and we’ll always speak of him with love and fondest memories.
I know that Mickey met him at the gates of heaven, playing him a Newfoundland jig on the bagpipes.
Until we meet again Uncle Arnold 💔🇨🇦💔
