I remember Mr. Melnick as a very kind and wonderful person when I lived my earlier years on Ferris Street. He thought well of others. In fact at the funeral of my son, over 32 years ago, he took the time at attend the funeral and sought me out afterward. Previously, I had not seen him for over 30 years prior. I will always remember his kindness to me and my family. He was a GREAT PERSON!!!

It is with great sadness that I read of the passing of my friend Steve. We were fully friends from the Polish club for many years. On Sunday night we played hockey at the Pier rink. I still have bumps on my head from his elbows to prove it!!. Steve loved a card game, hockey on TV, or a good conversation. And I will miss him very much.
