The family of Ross Campbell regret to announce his passing on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born on July 13, 1962, in Sydney, Ross was the son of the late Maurice ‘Dick’ and Mary ‘Margie’ (Smith) Campbell.
Ross was a huge fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He loved country music and collecting hockey cards.
Ross is survived by his brothers, William Joseph, Brendon Patrick, and sister, Mary Elizabeth.
Besides his parents, Ross was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn.
A private memorial graveside service to celebrate the life of Ross Campbell will be held at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney, at a later date with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations in memory of Ross may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

I am so sad to hear of Ross’s passing. He was a beautiful young man. I was his and Mary Elizabeth’s teacher, years ago, at Central School. Sometimes I’d see him at Tim Horton’s in the Pier. We always had a chat. My thoughts and prayers are with Ross and his family. From: Linda Neville
