So sorry to hear about Vince’s passing. He was a wonderful person. I enjoyed coaching our Firebirds hockey team . Without his managerial prowess we would not have succeeded and not have enjoyed such a great experience for young people flying to a different country and seeing many historical places as well as competing at such a high level. Vince was a treasure. He will be missed!

Numerous friends of mine who grew up in Ashby reached out to me today and shared how much they really liked Vince as one of their Park Junior High Teachers. Some were perhaps not the best students… When I first moved back to Sydney and was looking for a teaching job, during almost every interview someone would ask if I was related to either Lou, Gordon, and or Vince? (Bill /Steven) It seemed just being a cousin (2nd) usually worked in my favor, and for most of my own teaching career it was was a pleasure to tell people that yes we are related.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Vince’s passing. I am grateful for all our chats almost every Saturday when Vince came to Nanny’s to visit Uncle Gordie. This time spent with family creates memories that I will cherish and always remember. Rest in Peace, Uncle Vince. Love Anne Louise and family.

Diane and family, I was so sorry to read of Vince’s passing. I haven’t seen him since high school, but still remember how Vince, and Gordie, contributed to the running of the CYC at the old KOC hall. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Diane and family, I was saddened to read of Vince’s passing. Such a loss for all that knew him. Met Vince when I joined the staff of Park and worked across the hall from him for 26 years. Considered Vince a great colleague and good friend and of course a Canadiens fan. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Deepest of condolences for your loss. May perpetual light shine on him, all the faithfully departed through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sending condolenses Chris to you and your family on the loss of your father.
To his family I am sorry for the loss of a great man. , how great let me tell you. I once lived in the same apartment building he grew up in. So I was this little boy of 12 from a family who didn’t have much. When Mr Buckland became my grade 7 teacher at park jr high. There were many days he bought my milk for me from his own pocket. I knew all his brothers, Louie could strap like no one else, but Vince always had that great smile. And to this day 50 years later I remember a great man who paid for my milk
Kurt and family,
So sorry to hear of your father Vince’s passing. I didn’t know him but judging how you are with your family I can tell you learned how to be a husband and father from a good one. Our thoughts are with you.
