It’s with our deepest internal sadness and heartbreak, that we, the family, announce the passing of Janet Head on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Not only was she a loving wife to Frank, but also an amazing mom to Ryan, mother-in-law to April, Nanny to Bella, and sister to Ronald.
Janet was predeceased by her father, Neil MacNeil and mother, Freda (Franssens) MacNeil.
Janet was always a hard worker and loved by so many people in her community and all the places she worked over the years. She always had a huge smile on her face and was always greeting people with open arms and a warm hug. Janet loved to travel and go for drives with Frank. Throughout her struggles with kidney disease, she was always optimistic about life.
Janet was thrilled to get the news to receive a kidney transplant. Our family was never so happy. Due to very unfortunate circumstances, not lack of support and amazing care she received from the Renal Clinic, and the ICU doctors and nurses, God saw that she was tired and gave her wings and let her fly.
A private family ceremony was held to commemorate Janet’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Janet may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
