With the utmost sadness, we, the family of Kyle Fitzgerald, announce his sudden passing on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax.

Kyle leaves behind his loving wife of 18 years, Stephanie, as well as their three beautiful children, Aurora, Kyson, and Amara, to whom he was the most loving and caring father. Also left to mourn are brothers, Anthony (Mandy and family), and Andrew (Ashley and family); brother-in-law, Joey (Amber and family); sister-in-law, April (Kelsie and family); godfather/uncle, Kelley and special aunt, Jody; father-in-law, Stephen, and mother-in-law, Sadie; uncle, Robert; aunt, Lisa (Shaun); grandfather, Joe (Helen); grandmother, Goldie; as well as many loving extended family members.

Kyle was predeceased by his mother, Cathy; father, Stephen; grandmother, Anne; aunt, Joeanne; uncles, Cordell and Andrew (in infancy); nephew, Malekkai, and his brother-in-law and friend, Jeff.

The family would like to thank the CBRH trauma unit, staff of unit 5.2 at the Halifax infirmary, the organ donation team, and the social workers that took very special care of both Kyle and Stephanie during a very difficult time.

Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Kyle Fitzgerald will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Saturday, May 11, 2024. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.

Donations in memory of Kyle may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

“Though your story was cut far too short, you will continue to live on in your children and through your legacy of the gift of a heart to someone in need and tissue donations that will help many people in the future. Though losing someone is hard, always remember how lucky you were to be able to love them in the first place.”
