The family of Roland Doucet regret to announce his passing on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at home in Westmount.
Born on January 23, 1941, in Sydney, Roland was the son of the late Henry Joseph and Mary Eva (Arsenault) Doucet.
Roland is survived by four sons, Roland Jr., Paul (Kara), Stephen (Sheila) and Mark (Heidi); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara MacDonnell (Doucet), Marguerite Alexander (Doucet), and Joan Marie MacKinnon (Doucet); brother, Albert Joseph Doucet; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Roland was predeceased by his wife, Patricia, and his brother, Bernie.
Visitation for the late Roland Doucet will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, Whitney Pier, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Funeral Service for the late Roland and Patricia Doucet will be held in the funeral home in the All Faith Chapel on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Douglas Murphy officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.
Donations in memory of Roland may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

We all have Aunts and Uncles, but they left a lasting impact and impression upon me. You always felt welcomed , appreciated and Loved when You were with them.
