We, the family of Carolyn Morgan, age 76, regretfully announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney on April 25, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (Collins) Head.
Carolyn grew up and raised her family in Whitney Pier but her and Fred spent every summer for 30 years in Big Pond at their home away from home. She loved to have friends and family stop by for a visit and a swim. Carolyn was a big Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Fred. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (JP), Sydney and son, Darrell (Karen), Enfield, NS. Also survived by her brothers, Bill (Averil), her twin, Clyde (Judy), both of Niagara Falls, ON, and sister, Holly (Tim) Boone, Sydney with whom she resided with for the last 9 months. Also survived by her brother-in-law, Buddy Peach, sister-in-law, Diane Morgan and many nieces and nephews, especially David and Michael Boone. She will also be missed by her best friend, Nina Lovett.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the first responders, the doctors and nurses in the ER and CCU unit of the CB Regional Hospital for their professional and compassionate care of Carolyn in her time of need.
There will be no visitation for the late Carolyn Morgan. Memorial service will be celebrated at the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 1 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Jackie Warren officiating. Following the service, light refreshments will be served in the reception area. Interment will take place in Eastmount Cemetery, Whitney Pier.

Donations in Carolyn’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada, MS Society of Canada or charity of your choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

Sincere Condolences to Carolyn and Fred’s family on the loss of Carolyn. They were and always will be such an important part of our summers in Big Pond. Carolyn loved to swim and watch the Blue Jays and Fred with the Penny Lane Limo picking up all the kids as he drove them up and down Penny Lane. She will be missed.

Our Big Pond summers change every year, but, the news of Carolyn’s passing is heartbreaking. To the Morgan and Head families please know that she was an angel and such a good neighbour for 30 plus years. My most sincerest condolences to all.
