Little Lorraine
It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the passing of our mom, Margaret ‘Peggy’ (MacMillan) Webber, age 81, on Friday, July 30, 2021, at home with her family by her side.
Born on March 6, 1940, in New Boston, Margaret was the daughter of the late Ronald and Catherine (MacDonald) MacMillan.
.
Margaret was a stay-at-home mom raising a family of six. Her love for her 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren was undeniable. Margaret was an avid reader, had a good sense of humor, enjoyed baking, making the best homemade bread ever!! She was a very loyal person to her friends and was very passionate to her faith. Margaret spent many days sitting in her front room watching the hummingbirds and the beautiful view of Lorraine Harbour.
Margaret will be dearly missed by her daughters, Bev (Lloyd) Snow, Pictou, Cecilia (Lester), Hopewell, Maureen (Daniel) Williams, Mira, Jeanette (Jerry) Dyksrtra, Marathon, ON; sons, Darrell ‘Chickie’, and Robie (Raylene); proud grandmother of Tanya, Brandon, Ryan, Justine, Cody, Danielle, Kyle, Jeremy, Randy, Jovin, and Monica; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Maddox, Layton, Liam and sisters-in law, Laura (Webber) Kennedy and Rosaline (Webber) Little. She is loved by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Alex Webber and by her brother, Donald.
A special thank you to all Margaret’s family and friends who stopped by to visit and who brought many stories and happy memories and laughs. Special thank you to Aunt Laura, who made a path from her front door to mom’s front door with many meals and happy conversation. To Patsy Oakley who always came whenever mom called to make her as beautiful outside as her big heart inside. To palliative care, VON, EHS, Dr. MacDonald, and Dr. Burns, who gave mom peace and dignity to stay at home.
Funeral Mass for the late Margaret Webber will be held in Immaculate Conception Church, Main-a-Dieu on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 2 p.m. with Fr. Evo Di Pierro officiating. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.
Covid protocols will be practiced in church during the Mass.
Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Main-a-Dieu or charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

Chick and Robie , I want to pass on condolences from your Labrador family . I was very sadden when I heard of Aunt Margie’s passing. Though I hadn’t met your sisters on my trips to Little Lorraine , Aunt Margie would be sure to tell me what was happening in their lives, she was very proud of her family and especially the grand-children. She dearly missed Uncle Alex and be happy in knowing they are together again.
