Sydney

We, the family, regret to announce that Christopher Sheldon Ranni passed suddenly and unexpectedly as a result of a fall on Friday, September 13, 2019 at home in Sydney.

Born on February 9, 1983 in Sydney, Chris was the youngest and much-loved son of Audrey (Walsh) and the late Sheldon Ranni.

Chris grew up in Point Edward and cherished his memories hanging out with his buddies four wheeling and building cabins.

Once he discovered music, Chris was hooked. He was at his happiest when he was singing and playing his guitar. He was fortunate to be surrounded by large circle of friends and community support.

Chris is survived by his mother, Audrey; siblings, Dalyce (Stephen), Troy (Katelyn) and Jason (Shannon); as well as several nieces and nephews, who he adored.

Besides his dad, Chris was predeceased by his nephew, Jase; grandparents, Robert and Margaret Walsh and Helen and Emilio Ranni.

Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Christopher Ranni will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street), Whitney Pier on Monday, September 23, 2019. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. with the memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Light refreshments will be served in the funeral home reception area following the service. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Christopher can be made to Cairdeil Place, Sydney.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
