It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Moore age 94, on Saturday, December 8, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Ronald was a long-time resident of Glace Bay, and most recently Halifax. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta and served with the Canadian Armed Forces, 13th Battalion. He and his wife operated Moore Jewellers on Commercial Street in Glace Bay for many years.
Ronald is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanette; sons, Paul (Barbara) and Robert (Donna); daughter, Linda and grandchildren, Marisa, Alicia, Jill, Michael, Ricky and Madison.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Ronald Moore will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Light refreshments and shared stories will be shared on this occasion.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.

Our thoughts & prayers have been with you ever since we heard about Ron’s passing. We were so pleased to have visited those few times in Halifax. He was the Ron we enjoyed so much in all those earlier years. Those memories are so very precious…he was one in a million! His stories will linger for many years to come.
