With great sadness we, the children of Marilyn McIntyre, announce her passing on February 2, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Marilyn was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Gillis) Wall of Whitney Pier.

Marilyn is survived by her three children (all of Massachusetts), Cathy (Tim Stamp), Danny, Rob (Lisa); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Stamp, Brian Stamp, Ashley McIntyre, Michael McIntyre and sister, Geri (Michael Mahoney).

Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, Robert Wall.

Mom requested we extend her gratitude to all the medical professionals who eased her passing. In particular, The Island Family Healthcare team, especially Dr. Ryan Kelly, Dr. Ron McCormick from Oncology and Dr. Alicia Lamey as well as the doctors and nurses of the An Cala Palliative Care unit with support staff and Dr. James MacLean from ER.

Appreciation is also extended to Roberta and Max Hickman, Breton Quilters Guild, Deanna and Verna MacNeil, Robert Rudderham and Elizabeth White and friends, Brenda MacNeil and Jennifer Little.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service as per Mom’s wishes.

Donations in memory of Marilyn may be made to the An Cala Palliative Care unit.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
