With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Craig Apblett, age 67, on Friday, October 26, 2018 at home in Sydney.
Born on July 3, 1951 in Sydney, Ronnie was the son of the late John and Mildred (MacLeod) Apblett. He was the youngest of five children.
Ronnie was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 138 in Ashby, an avid dart player and he loved a game of pool. His family and friends were everything to him, especially his daughter, Samantha and granddaughter, Ava.
Ronnie leaves behind to mourn, his daughter, Samantha (Andre Johnson) Murphy; granddaughter, Ava; siblings, John, Sue (Albert) Hussey, Judy (George) Carew and many very close friends.
Besides his parents, Ronnie was pre-deceased by his sister, Dale (Leo) Mombourquette and nephew, Kirt Mombourquette.
Visitation for the late Ronnie Craig Apblett will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street), on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. Memorial service to celebrate the life of Ronnie Apblett will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. in St. Albans Anglican Church, Whitney Pier, with Archdeacon Brenda Drake officiating. Following the service, everyone is invited to a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 138 in Ashby.
Private Family Interment will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Ronnie may be made to St. Alban’s Anglican Church or charity of one’s choice.
Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to hear about Ronnie passing. My brother Robert Zagwolski hung around with him when they were younger. They managed to get themselves in trouble, My sympathy to all the family.
