Whitney Pier
It is with great sadness we, the family, announce the passing of Shawn Lois (Lawrence) Dilney, age 60, on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Sydney, Shawn worked at the Whitney Pier Daycare for over 30 years as a cook and early childhood educator. Dedicating her life to taking care of others, Shawn touched so many lives. Anyone who knew Shawn would say she had a passion for fashion and a smile that lit up the room.

Besides her father, Shawn was predeceased by husband, Steve and sister, Elizabeth Ann in infancy.
Visitation and funeral service to celebrate the life of Shawn Lois Dilney will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
