It is with heavy hearts that we regret to announce the peaceful passing of Vince Alexander Clark Kirton, age 50, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the Peter Lougheed Centre, Calgary, Alberta.
Born on August 19, 1966 in St. Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish, Vince was the son of the late Charlotte Kirton and Vincent Clark.
Vince was employed by Blue Bird for a number of years. He enjoyed playing in the local hockey league. He always had a smile and especially, enjoyed being with friends and family. Vince is now in the loving arms of his mother and father.
Vince is survived by his sisters, Tanya and Jodie Kirton; nephews, Devin, Jordan and great-nephew, Jaiden. Also left to mourn is special nephew, Cory Kirton; goddaughter, Julicia and special niece, Marleena. Vince also held a special place in his heart for Brittany and Damian Hawco.
Besides his parents, Vince was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Annabell Kirton and paternal grandparents, Lillian and Percy Cunningham.
Visitation for the late Vincent ‘Vince’ Alexander Kirton will be held in the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street), on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. in St. Philip’s African Orthodox Church, Whitney Pier, with Rev. Mother Phyllis Marsh officiating. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Vince may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice.
