It is with sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Joseph Wilfred Aucoin, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at home.
Born in Cap Lemoyne, April 9, 1931, he was the son of the late William Pepin and Mary Luce (Arsenault) Aucoin.
Joseph was a private man who lived a simple life. He enjoyed playing pool at the pool hall.
Joseph will always be remembered as “easy going”. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his brothers, Joseph Arthur and twin brother, Johnny Lawrence; sister, Theresa (John) Curry; sister in-laws, Catherine, Ann, Millie and Rita; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his brothers, Alex Joe, Leo, Simon, Gerald and Albert; and sisters, Rita and Mary.
Funeral Mass for the late Joseph Aucoin will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, Lemoyne, N.S. on Saturday, October 23 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Peter LeBlanc officiating.
Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
